KEENAN GOODMAN

“My name is Keenan Goodman, and I will be running in the Appletree full marathon on September 15th in Vancouver, WA. I am running to raise awareness and money for NOE International. NOE International began over 20 years ago in Morelia, Mexico with the objective of having a nice, safe place, the children in Morelia could go after school, to connect with other young people, learn about Christianity, learn and the English language, and enjoy games, sports and fellowship!

I was connected with NOE 6 years ago, when we hosted Emmanuel, who made the NOE All-Star his senior year, and came up to stay with us the summer of 2013. Manny and I immediately hit it off and have considered each other brothers since that summer. Every summer since, we have brought Manny back to spend time with our family.

This last July, I finally returned the favor and stayed for five weeks with Manny’s family in Morelia while I volunteered teaching English and Personal Finance during the day at NOE and helped with the annual NOE basketball tournament in the evenings.

I support NOE, because it is a place that brings hope and opportunity to the community. More so, Is support NOE because I’ve seen first hand the impact that this organization has had on some of the incredible people that I met during my time in Morelia. This organization helps guide students to discover new future opportunities and gives them the tools to positively impact the world they live in. This is a very worthwhile organization that invests in the future of these children and their community.
